Organizations

Throughout the universe, various organizations exist. In most cases, these organizations do good things for different people. However, some harm others. They wish to subjugate and control others for their own perverse pleasures. And plenty can stand against those who do.

Earth Special Investigations Unit

The Earth Special Investigations Unit is an elite group of peacekeeping agents that works to ensure humans are good citizens of the universe. They have different divisions that specialize in different areas of investigation. The organization was started to deal with some sex trafficking using alien outposts as hiding places. Since then, they have expanded to investigate not only sex trafficking, but drug trafficking, organized crime issues, as well as dealing with high-profile cases that require the utmost care. The ESIU is well respected in the Galactic Council, and it was founded not long after humans expanded into the universe. The Galactic Council, while magnanimous and willing to work with humans, remains understandably suspicious, given the issues that have arisen. The creation of ESIU has gone a long way to gaining their trust, though.

Erotes

On the planet Cybele, Erotes stands as a beacon of hope amidst the shadows of oppression. This independent anti-slavery organization dedicates its efforts to rescuing individuals who have been abducted or coerced into the cruel grasp of slavery. With a commitment to restoring dignity and freedom, Erotes provides not only physical rescue but also holistic healing to those who have suffered unimaginable trauma. The organization takes a compassionate approach, recognizing that recovery is a multifaceted journey involving emotional, psychological, and social support. Through its tireless advocacy, Erotes not only aims to liberate individuals from their captors but also works to raise awareness about the pervasive issues of human trafficking and modern slavery, striving to create a future where every person can live freely and with dignity.

Les Libertines

The Libertines represent a disturbing facet of hedonistic philosophy, pursuing pleasure without constraints or moral consideration. This decentralized organization, made up of individuals who reject conventional boundaries, treats consent as an obsolete concept. As a result, members engage in abhorrent practices, enslaving both humans and occasionally extraterrestrial beings. The experiences of their captives are marked by extreme abuse, often culminating in tragic fates—either death or abandonment. In the pursuit of unbridled sensation, the Libertines not only challenge societal norms but also raise profound ethical questions about the nature of freedom and the consequences of forsaking compassion for hedonistic indulgence. The Mansion

The Mansion is the center of a major cell of Les Libertines. This cell, known only as the Red Cell, is perhaps the most active and largest cell in the organization. The Mansion is something of the organization's crown jewel, with other cells jealous of its fame in the galaxy's underground. Situated on Irkalla, the Mansion is the only place of its kind in the galaxy.

Galactic Council

The Galactic Council, an ancient assembly that predates humanity's journey into space by centuries, has long dominated interstellar affairs. Despite Earth's advancements, no seat has been reserved for a human, largely because of our planet's tumultuous history, fraught with conflict and injustice. This reluctance poses a formidable challenge to humanity's quest for representation. Currently, Earth's voice in the council is channeled through the Datamind, the first alien with whom humans established contact. As Earth's proxy, the Datamind embodies its interests and aspirations, facilitating communication between humanity and the broader galactic community. As the universe watches, the hope remains that one day, humanity will earn a rightful place on the Council, paving the way for a new era of cooperation and understanding among the stars.

Realhuman

Realhuman is a group of people who don't believe in any sort of modification to the human body. They are staunchly against cybernetics, which isn't unusual, but they are also against any advanced medicine used in recent years. They are among the only people on Earth who still deal with deadly diseases such as cancer and even the common cold and flu. They are a relatively small group and will not have children outside Realhuman. For this reason, their group has a small genetic pool, and recruiting "pure" humans for their cause has become increasingly difficult over time. Birth defects are common, and infant mortality is extremely high among their communes.

Technomancers

The Technomancers are a dedicated collective of ethical hackers committed to safeguarding Earth's digital realm and beyond. Operating in the shadows, they unearth the nefarious activities that often lurk behind the polished facade of the corporate world. Their relentless pursuit of truth aims to hold those responsible for past injustices accountable and expose the tangled web of corruption. However, as they dig deeper, they often stumble upon secrets far beyond their initial scope. United Earth Government

United Galactic Enforcement Agency

The United Galactic Enforcement Agency serves as the galaxy's primary police force, tasked with maintaining order and enforcing the law on a cosmic scale. Operating under the directives of the Galactic Council, the agency safeguards peace among planets while addressing unlawful activities that ripple across the galaxy. Their jurisdiction forbids intervention in matters confined to a single planet; instead, they concentrate on issues that threaten interstellar harmony. A significant part of their work involves tackling smuggling operations that traverse solar system borders, as well as combating the trafficking of prohibited goods, services, and individuals. Through their vigilant efforts, the United Galactic Enforcement Agency helps ensure the galaxy remains a realm of stability and cooperation amid a complex tapestry of diverse worlds.
