New Reader Guide
New to the Freedomverse? Here's where to start!
Whether you're reading the first book in the series, or if you're just wandering around seeing what you want to read, this guide will help you decide where you need to start with this rich, complex version of the galaxy.
Where to Start
If you found your way here from the back of Breaking Free, welcome to the only place to find the most information about the setting.
If you found your way here another way, welcome as well! Please be mindful of spoiler tags, as there are many!
Pages marked with the orange minor spoiler warning label contain minor spoilers for Freedomverse stories. This appears at the top of a page to show whether it contains minor spoilers. These spoilers don't spoil the plot, but they may reveal details about characters, organizations, or places. These should be read with caution.
Pages marked with the red major spoiler warning label contain plot-related information and may reveal details you do not want to know before reading the stories. If you don't care and are just interested in the information, go ahead and read on. Just know that just about anything could be revealed on a page with the red spoiler warning.
Reading Order
The best way to read the Freedomverse books is in the order they were published. Below is a list of the planned books. This includes five separate duologies. Each duology is linked, and an overarching plot runs through all ten books. You can read the duologies individually or in order to follow the full plot. The last, Bonds of Light, culminates the other eight books and cannot be read without them.
Bonds of Light
Book Nine: The Eighth Reach
Book Ten: Letheon Black
Bonds of Liberation
Book One: Breaking Free
Book Two: The Hound of Erotes
Bonds of Change
Book Three: On a Distant Moon
Book Four: Science of the Soul
Bonds of Creation
Bonds of Escape
Book Five: Into the Labyrinth
Book Six: Beyond the Labyrinth
Book Seven: The Endless Chase
Book Eight: To Know the Light
