The planet was once ruled by a tall, bird‑like species with exoskeletons and long, spindly limbs. Their theocratic society collapsed during a devastating pandemic, which they believed was divine punishment — refusing to seek a cure.
After their extinction, the Nupatikites inherited the abandoned infrastructure and repurposed it for trade, industry, and planetary development.
